Offseason Moves SeriesWelcome to part 1 of my Offseason Moves series! In this edition, I am going to take a look at the center position and see what types of moves would be most feasible for the Miami Heat. The biggest issue here (along with most of the other positions) is age. What can the team do to deal with their senior citizen problems at center? Should we take a center in the draft? Deal for a middle aged veteran? Sign a talented but unproven rookie? I will try to answer these questions here.

So Long Stan! It’s Been A Great Run.

Stan Van Gundy Screaming On The CourtStan Van Gundy was recently “traded” to the Orlando Magic, thus ending his tenure with the Miami Heat. He only coached one full season for the Heat (2003-2004), but that was a memorable one. Dwayne Wade was a rookie, we had a dynamic Lamar Odom, and a fast paced, high octane offense. Indeed, it is a world apart from the team’s current make-up. It was an exciting year with an amazing playoff run in which the Heat nearly advanced to the Conference Finals. And for all of that, we owe Stan a tremendous thank you.
